RBI (Risk Based Inspection)
In a production rig, the oil and gas are transported through a network of piping and a ft er production they are often transported over long distances using pipelines.The delivery of these hazardous materials using pipes is very common because often it is the cheapest way of transporting them.
On the negative side, oil and gas transporting pipes can face leakages, bursts and ruptures that result not only in losses to the operators in terms of clean-up operations, reduced production,etc.,
But more importantly pose significant health, environment and safety (HSE) hazards. Hence,inorder to mitigate the problems associated with leakages,the pipes are subjected to regular inspections and maintenance.
